MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday (Dec 22) vowed to carry extra “destruction” to Ukraine in retaliation for a drone assault on the central Russian metropolis of Kazan a day earlier.
Russia accused Ukraine of a “huge” drone assault that hit a luxurious condominium block within the metropolis, some 1,000 kilometres (620 miles) from the frontier.
Movies on Russian social media networks confirmed drones hitting a high-rise glass constructing and setting off fireballs, although there have been no reported casualties because of the strike.
